I'm curious as to why we had such a big spike last year - especially in the Murder column. How has this year been so far? I hope this is just a blip and not a new trend.

I heard somewhere today that there have been 31 homicides in Charlotte this year. We are over half way through the year, so maybe this year won't end up as bad as the last.
