IM SO GLAD THIS IS HAPPENING!!! I used to live in the North End of Seattle... and its always been this never ending urban sprawl... miles and miles and nothing but auto-oriented BS... Im glad Northgate will turn out to be the North End's mixed-used pedestrian-friendly headquarters... :-) It needs it... And the North Link Light Rail will be built out there in the years to come as well... (Not fast enough IMO).
