New York Life Building

Finished 1888

The first skyscraper in Kansas City and about the second in Missouri.

It is one of the oldest skyscrapers in the world which is still standing.

The Lindell Building in St. Louis (demolished) was built in 1887 and is the first skyscraper in the state (although only 8 floors and 120ft)
