Schedule as of June 4, showing the additional trains between Charlotte and Raleigh. It's official... has been loaded into the reservation system at amtrak.com. Note that there are tweaks to times of existing trains.

So, from what I see..  it looks like 73 --> 74 --> 77 --> 78  which is a good double turn, but the 75 --> 76 the train sitting idle for no reason after returning to Raleigh.. what could be done with the train before 10 and after 7?

No, the railroad tracks parallel to US 1 go to Wake Forest, Youngsville, Franklinton, and Henderson. That's the corridor that Triangle Transit Authority had identified in the 1990s for light rail, although I don't believe their planning extended beyond Wake Forest. No one has seriously talked about either light rail or commuter rail on this corridor for a long time, but it could be done.  This corridor would also be used for SEHSR, the proposal for 110 mph passenger trains between Raleigh and DC. However, SEHSR would cost billions and I see absolutely no movement on it beyond engineering studies.

The Knightdale-Wendell-Zebulon-Wilson railroad corridor runs roughly parallel to US 64 and is under different ownership (Norfolk Southern instead of CSX). Commuter trains could conceivably be run on this corridor, but again there's been no serious study of it.

Everyone assumes that commuter trains will first start on some portion of the NCRR corridor Mebane-Hillsborough-Durham-RTP-Morrisville-Cary-Raleigh-Garner-Clayton-Selma/Smithfield-Goldsboro.

Is it true that opening of the station has been pushed out another (!) month because of an ADA compliance screwup?

Seems just one screw-up after another.  Super expensive "saving of Historic" building that really amounted to just the steel frame.  I strongly suspect would have been cheaper and resulted in much more logical less convoluted layout if have just started with clean slate.  JMO
