This is the strangest forum I've seen here yet. But I like it! I'd like to take San Diego and NY and plop them both down in Hampton Roads, VA so they'd be nice and close to me. I'd keep them separated and insist that the Military in S.D. stay out West as we have that covered already in Norfolk. Sunny, 70 Degrees and skyscrapers and ocean as far as the eyes can see.

New York and New Orleans

That you would never get out of alive, but the form of death might actually be enjoyable, in an extremely debauched kind of enjoyability.

Some of mine are more than 2. I'm a terrible person:

Boone NC & Boulder CO - slogan: "Yep - We're High!"

Seattle & Raleigh - slogan: "Yep - We're smart."

San Francisco & Asheville - slogan: "Yep - We're cooler than you."

Seattle, Austin, Minneapolis, Athens GA & Chapel Hill - slogan: "Rock-N-Roll Sonofabeotch!"

Sapporo & Milwaukee - slogan: "Biiru O Kudasai"

NYC, Detroit - slogan: "Tough As Nails, Sharp As Glass."

Mempis & Chicago - slogan: "Blooooooze Exxxxplosion!"

Las Vegas & Myrtle Beach - slogan: "Party Till The World Obeys."

Buenos Aires, Paris & Seattle - slogan: "Cappucino anyone?"

Nice -- love to see some of these great, smaller Southern cities represented. Athens and Asheville are probably two of my favorite cities.. throw them together with Chapel Hill and Austin (and maybe Ann Arbor from what I've heard) and you'd have the ultimate college town!

Here are a few.

Huntsville, AL and Atlanta - Space Rockets + Coke = One awesome city and huge population explosion.

Birmingham and Atlanta - "The Man of Steel" did like Coke.

Birmingham and Charlotte - Banking + Even More Banking = MONEY!!!!!

Mobile and Seattle - Two huge seaport towns, beaches, and mountains

New York and Amsterdam: The world's greatest city and "coffeeshops!"

I think Barcelona and Dubai would be a hot mix. Both are dazzling coastal cities. Barcelona has gorgeous old architecture, beautiful people, great food, and Dubai has the most progressive postmodern architecture. I think they could be blended into a fascinating place!

Miami is already called the 6th borrow anyway.

Borough.

Other places with the same nickname:

Hudson County, NJ

Bergen County, NJ

Yonkers

Philadelphia

Atlantic City

Staten Island (a joke b/c it's the forgotten among the 5 boroughs)

Miami may be the 11th or 12th borough.

Winston-Salem and Durham

Now that would be cool. Just think of all the great old tobacco warehouses, plus W-S's skyline. Also, you'd have two excellent universities (and great basketball teams) in the same town.
