Alabama's child well-being improves but nearly half of the children live in poverty

This is good to see, but this also shows that the state needs to improve on bring more high-paying, technology and education-oriented jobs.

think so, could be, currently unemployment is at an all time low. Not in every county, but even in

low unemployment counties there is poverty. Choosing between meth lab, gambling, welfare,

drug abuse and just basic neglect, (there is such thing as just plain stupidity) then some kids don't stand much of a chance. My point is wonder how many of that half are in poverty because of sorry parents?
