This definetly was not worth all of the hoopla! Oh well, I forced myself to learn something new. Tim, thats a good program, we'll see how the operator did. These are about a month old now.

I figured I'd try to bring this thread back around one more time, last time it sunk like a rock.

If this thing is going to be 15 stories, then a very large portion of its height will be from the spire, correct?

It looks like about 200' of building and 74' of ornamentation and the spire. It will look pretty large when going by on 17/92 and still very visible from I-4. If there gets to be quite a bit more mid rise residential between the hospital and uptown this could be considered an extension of and the Northern terminus of uptown eventually. Especially if and when the area is included in the Lynx circulator route and when commuter rail is running.

So they have 5 more floors to complete the main part of the building.

I think there is a spire that will reach 274 feet. Not sure about the height for the roof.

BTW, this thing is huge!!

Seperate from that the McCrae parking garage is to begin construction next month which will take care of a lot of that depresed area between the rail road tracks and Orange Avenue.

This poor thread keeps getting shoved to page 2.

Tower crane #2 was taken down this weekend. Interior buildout continues on floors 6, 7, and 8.

Completion: October 2008

The McRae parking garage is also coming along very quickly. We should start to see some panels tilt as the deadmen that were poured have cured.
