someone had posted a rendering in that Hospital thread, but the link has been disconnected or something.

it was 11-12 stories; glass and brick looking;

I guess the parcel at Rollins and Orange will be a staging area

The Florida Hospital website says it's going to be seven stories. I read somewhere else that the lobby will be a three story open atrium designed by Disney.

Just a little update on the progress of Disney Childrens' at Florida Hospital:

Yeah, I was surprised at how small it was too.

When the steel was all erected & no more was going up, I thought that there was some kind of construction delay going on.

With Arnies, Nemours, and this is the area, perhaps it is a good thing that Florida Hospital saw the demand for space for very sick kids, possibly Make A Wish recipient types, as low.

The hospital is very large, it includes the new tower, the adjacent white tower (floors 4-5) and the 6th and 7th floor of the large white

Whatever they're building on that empty lot fronting N. Orange Ave. next to the newest parking garage, it's going to have some height to it.

Last week, I noticed they had poured some rather large footers with a lot of rebar sticking up out of them.

Today, I noticed the first section of a crane going up.

I hope if it's another parking deck that they at least include some ground floor office/retail facing Orange Ave.

It also might possibly be multi-story medical office/condos facing the two streets in an "L" shape, with a parking structure behind it in the crook of the "L".

Whatever it is, B&G is the contractor & I found nothing about it on their website.

Its a medical office building, it will house the diabetes institute, Central Florida Gastroenterology Group, Transplant Team, Burham institute labs, and Surgical center.

Rendering is in front of the site, someone needs to take a picture, but it looks like a 7 story building with an outside skeleton like the new Ginsburg tower.

The rendering is located on the northeast corner of the lot. I'd post it but i've taken a little heat lately, hence my hiatus.

7 stories is ok. it will cover the garage some from the street and will/should be somewhat visible from I-4.

Sorry about the wrinkles. The rendering is printed on a vinyl banner. I tried to stretch it taught, but had little success.

Anyway, pretty decent looking building.

I count 8 stories.

I went up into the Florida Hospital last week. Nice views of downtown. This area is blowing up. They have a nice cafe on the lakeside. Very nice if you like minimalism.
