NEW YORK [9] Riverside Park & 42nd Street

Riverside Park is located along the northwestern riverfront of Manhattan skirting the Columbia campus. The attractiveness of the shade drew me there for a stroll.

I got a little tired after walking outdoors for so long, so I took a bus down to Times Square to see what photo-taking opportunities can arise. I don't think I've captured this skyscraper on 42nd before.

Apparently someone was trying to relay a message in the sky. Too bad I couldn't make out what the whole message was.

I have been to Times Square enough times already, but I didn't realize there was so much activity on 42nd Street westward. Good thing I didn't miss it! I was actually walking to the Port Authority to catch a bus to New Jersey to take pictures.

I'm pretty sure that scraper is the Westin Hotel.

Awesome message. The message in the clouds was advertising a website of some sort. You can make out a ".COM" at the end of it.
