MPLS: New Guthrie Theater

The Tony Award-winning theater is finally in its new home. The 250,000-square-foot theater includes a new 1,100-seat auditorium, 700-seat proscenium stage, 250-seat studio theater, new classrooms, 11 bars and 2 restaurants. The $125 million theater was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, his first project in North America. I wasn't sure how I was going to like this thing until I rode my bike by it at night last weekend and I was sold. I love the lighting - even the skyway looks cool at night. That neighborhood is looking great.
