This is a very clear sign of the new post-Katrina times in New Orleans, and the city's changing demographics. Tenet is a company that mainly makes money off government subsidized health care, mainly Medicade and Medicare insurance. There now is a deficit for people that need hospitals that cater to those on Medicare and Medicade. And the fact that Charity Hospital is still closed does not help that situation, but I'm thinking that over time that problem will diminish. But, this is a clear sign that the times are a changin in New Orleans, and the city is becoming a more affluent city home to more wealthy citizens who carry health insurance.
