Sleeping Bear Dunes

Digging around my hard drive I found these pictures from approximately 1990 of the Sleeping Bear Dunes area.

I think this is looking across the bay near the mouth of the Platte River or of one of the islands offshore from the dunes.

Some inner dunes.

See the sailboat and the freighter? Thats one of the islands off shore from Sleeping Bear Dunes.

I went to SBD for the first time last summer around this time of year. It was so nice to finally get to see them. I've been to the dunes at Pictured Rocks NLS, and while they are comprable, SB has it's own unique character. It's beautiful there!

Platte River Pointe is one of the best places in Michigan. Surreal.
