There will be a celebration on Monday, July 10th, including fireworks.

Tomorrow is the first day of the big birthday celebration! Here is a sneak peek at part of the display inside the City Hall Visitor's Center. The festivities begin at 11:00am - which, of course means that I will not be able to be there as I'll be out of town until later in the evening.
