Independence Day celebrations in Columbia

Were there any 4th of July celebrations in Columbia, particularly downtown? I've never known of any.

There was something at the State House on the morning of the 4th, fireworks at Finlay Park after last Saturday night's concert and fireworks after the Blowfish's game on the 4th. I have a cool fireworks picture in the distance on Assembly Street.

Columbia should have a blowout fireworks show in finlay park. They coudl shoot them off of the hill. You'd be able to see them for miles.
