They had something on the Discovery Channel on this a while back. Something like "Nature vs. People." It's probably been re-run on Animal Planet as well.

Not only do the crabs get crushed by people stepping on them or rolling over them in cars, but there's also a danger of them getting sucked in by waves if they get too close to the ocean (these are land crabs).
