Bridgewater is on the western side of the state, just south of Harrisonburg. The town is very quaint.

I went to college in Harrisonburg and remember passing through Bridgewater on a couple of occasions. It's a very quaint town with a nice little river/stream flowing through. The culture there is far too conservative for my taste, but the natural setting is quite nice. There are large mennonite communities in and around Bridgewater (& esp in Dayton). On rural roads you'll often see them riding about on horse-drawn buggies!

It is also the home of Bridgewater College. A Church of the Brethren affiliated school. For those of you who don't know, Church of the Brethren has historical ties to the Mennonites, but they are more entwined in mainstream society, ie. electricity, cars, dancing, alcohol etc.

This is true as you will see many flock into Harrisonburg for the night life. Dayton was a nice town too. Ive seen a couple Mennonites too in that area, it was Lancaster allover again!
