The pics really don't do it justice, but thank you so much for the post anyway. Take a drive up to Summit sometime and check it out. There are views of downtown throughout the city, but like some of the friends and neighbors around here say, not THAT view... And don't forget to take a little drive down Clarksville Highway. Literally The Wizard of OZ. You're welcome and you are so right, the pictures do not do the view justice. Just the best I could do from a phone camera and the limited amount of time I had on hand before heading to the airport. I used to live in Bordeaux in the Enchanted Hills area and I worked in Metro Center, so I used to see this view every single day when I lived in Nashville. I often wished that Northwest Davidson County would eventually be developed the way it deserves to be. It is still lagging behind. But their are rumblings of some development taking place. So, there's hope....

Most of them aren't as good as what you get in Philly. I've got to disagree here. I know it's a matter of personal taste, but every "steak" I had in Philly was terrible compared to anywhere else. That nasty cheese whiz they put on them is awful, the beef is typically dry and if you ask for mayonnaise, they nearly crucify you.

I've never actually had one, so I was just going on what I've heard others say. Sounds nasty, though.

VSRJ
That's a beautiful shot. So from this angle/perspective, will Bridgestone still surpass Pinnacle in height?
Popular Post nashvillwill
Just a couple of things I noticed today on the streets. The building at 3rd&Broadway that was torn down looks like there may be some action. They've erected the strangest looking crane I've ever seen and had it boomed out across 3rd. Safety first! The diner building at 3rd & Demonbreun has actually turned out to be half decent looking. I think it's a good contrast to all the towers that surround it. New project that that I personally was unaware of. The project has "615" in the name. 3rd & Lea.

It lived up to the hype and then some, for me. Granted, I've only ever had them at Jim's Steaks, but I found them to incredibly delicious!

markhollin
I've always wondered if/when that surface lot on the right (NW corner of 1st Ave. and Broadway that fronts the Hard Rock Cafe) is going to be developed. Absolutely prime space being vastly under-utilized at this point.
titanhog
^^What could you put in the space? You have that tiny building right on the corner, which is actually really cool. Seems to me, about the only thing it could be used for, if you keep the tiny corner building, would be to add on to Hard Rock.

Popular Post mwill18
These are some pictures that I took on a morning drive through downtown. Paramount Condos Bridgestone HQ is getting huge! And it will fit in nicely with the neighborhood. You guys remember when SoBro was all surface parking? JW Marriott construction The finished(?) Thompson Hotel was a nice surprise to see when turning off of Division Street.
