People gripping, b!t@#ing, complaining, moaning, etc. about Vanderbilt purchasing the former Noshville deli site should remember that, while it may be used as a parking lot now, the future is bright because this the same Vanderbilt that just completed this little gem, a block away .....

Hi NASHVILLE FROM CHARLOTTE!!

All I can say is very very very impressive. I last looked at your city on UP probably 4-5 yrs ago and I was not impressed just to be blunt. But after browsing this project thread I must say I'm super impressed. I think you guys could give Charlotte a run for her money over the next decade or so. Being from NC and having lived in or within 15 miles of uptown for about 20 yrs+ I am used to cranes and constant construction. I think I counted at least 7 or 8 cranes in a few of Nashville's recent photos.

Im not overly impressed with a lot of the current architecture but the new towers are truly going to transform Nashville. I love Charlotte and I will always be partial to my city, but there's always room at the top. I love that southern cities like Nashville, Austin and Charlotte and of course Atlanta are making such amazing strides. I love the direction we are all going in and I think it's only going to get better.

Once again, Nashvilles skyline is becoming big and beautiful and I will be watching these towers grow ever upwards!!

   I admit that I've only been to Nashville with work when I was a Flight Attendant and I stayed very close to the airport, so I haven't experienced Nashville per say.

Come stay downtown and give it a try.  Downtown Nashville is now one of the most vibrant downtowns in the nation.  It's crazy what has happened down there in the past 20 years.

Thanks for the kind words. I travel around just to look at other cities and actually walk around and explore more times than not. I was just in Charlotte last year and wish we had a couple of tall boys. Most all of what has happened here has been since 2011. The new convention ctr was probably the catalyst. I will probably be back later this year as my brother lives in Mooresville.

If you ever get into Nashville, let us know and we will give you the grand tour.

Views from 8th floor of SoBro Tower looking towards the Cumberland Riverfront.

Looking NE across the Market Street Apartments...this vista will be completely obscured by the Second and Demonbreun project of two 40 story residential towers and connecting 17 story hotel...if it ever gets off the ground.

 

There may be a sliver of a view directly east from this vantage point...depending on how high the NE corner of the 222 2nd Avenue office building goes as it faces First Avenue.

Still think something called "ghost" anything should be predominantly silvery gray in color. May not contrast as well, but it could be lit up, and (if so desired) with colored lighting at various times. Such a misfire.

Is it just me or does the Bridgestone tower look short (it's almost topped out) It's suppose to be taller than the Pinnacle.

It's not just you.  It barely looks taller than Sobro.  What's the deal?
