TBT-unsure of date-mid 60s, perhaps. (I've posted this pic previously, but love it enough to share again!) Looking west along West End Avenue, from about 19th Avenue, I think. As a young'en from the boonies, this flashy neon sign made a big impression on me. I would have sworn I was in Las Vegas!

Yep I just noticed that on the News 2 cam. Go Press is scrolling across the building now. Still can't figure out why they would turn the lights out at other times. Maybe something is wrong with them or they haven't realized they are out.

What is the older brick building with the porch and balcony in the lower right side of the photo? It reminds me of something from New Orleans or Charleston. At least from this view.

Pretty sure its the back of the Aerial Development Group headquarters building

Is Nashville prone to flooding like how OKC is prone to tornados? This city floods alot...

These areas along the banks of the Cumberland River flood every time Nashville gets heavy rainfall. Last weekend's rainfall didn't even get it close to flood stage. Just a gully washer with minor localized flooding. For perspective, May 2010 got us to a 52' crest, we're nowhere that today.

And no, I'd say Houston is to flooding as OKC is tornadoes.
