It is a 4 story steakhouse/bar called Harry O's.  Wrapped around it will be the 5 story Moxy Hotel (with entrances =on both Broadway and 3rd Ave. South).

Wonder what this view along the Cumberland might look like in 10-20 years?   Especially along the north (right) side between the PSC Metals site and Shelby Park?  I can see all of those industrial entities selling and mixed use developments replacing them with a river walk park stretching along that shore.  Of course, redeveloping the southern bank would be nice as well.

I wonder the same.  Of course I'll be in my late 60's by 2030....  I was in Nashville for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  While I've been to Nashville at least once, sometimes twice a year every year over the past 6 years, I have to say this trip left me in amazement.  Wednesday night I was at The Diner on 3rd Ave South.  I dined on the 6th floor.  I totally felt like I was in a completely different city.  The views were amazing.  As much as I've seen all the new buildings posted on this site and from seeing them as a drove around, nothing compared to seeing the vistas from another building (even just 6 stories up).  The views of the Shelby pedestrian bridge, 505, Cambria, and Bridgestone and other buildings were fantastic.  I took a few pictures but unfortunately I wasn't able to eliminate interior reflections for the glass.  My partner who had not been to Nashville for two years was totally blown away with the growth in such a short period of time.  I absolutely loved the approach into Nashville from I-40 east.  To see how the skyline has expanded southward is really incredible.  Seeing the view of SoBro, the Gulch, downtown and midtown altogether as you travel along the south side of the loop is also impressive.  I hope that Beaman will eventually sell not only the auto lots on Broadway, I hope they sell the inventory lot right off the loop across from the Gulch where I-40 and I-65 split.  That is a prime location for high rise apartments, condos or office buildings.  It would truly change the dynamics of that interstate exchange.  I'm really looking forward to more mid-rise and high rise development going up the southern part of SoBro.

The other thing that is very salient in all of what I experienced was the energy in the city.  There is definitely a new energy in Nashville.  You feel it practically everywhere you go in the city.  From the staff at The Diner in SoBro to the staff and patrons at Slim & Husky's on Buchanan,  to the staff at Prince's Hot Chicken on Nolensville Road and even to the employees at the Home Depot across from 100 Oaks, there was just this wonderfully pleasant energy.  Being from Nashville I know it's a friendly place.  But it seems more than that now.  I felt a level of pride bouncing off the people that was much higher than ever before.  I also notice much more diversity dispersed across the city.   Please do not be offended by this statement (it's based on my experience of growing up in Nashville), I quite honestly never thought I'd see white people (minus a few exceptions) in Nashville sitting and eating in a restaurant on Buchanan Street in a place owned and fully operated by African Americans.  I never thought I'd see African American owned establishments located outside of north Nashville or parts of east Nashville and receive the support that they do.  I loved the diversity that I saw in the staff of all the places I visited.  It says to me that Nashville continues to evolve not only in terms of its skyline but its people.  There's still plenty of room for growth in both.  I hope that Nashville will continue to strive forward in both areas.  The best way to do that will be to create neighborhoods that are diverse.  Don't let gentrification push ethnic minorities out of the city.  Try to find ways to bridge the desires and expense of all who want to live in the city to coexist.   We are a much better human race when we live, work and play together.  I'll leave it at that and just say I truly hope Nashville keeps growing in all the right ways.

Same. I can't wait until next month when I fly back to Nashville for Christmas break and spent time with my family. I am probably literally going to drive around Nashville nonstop and look at the changes. I do predict a slowdown in growth (not just here but the whole country) sometime in the future, but even then I believe Nashville will withstand any problems and continue to grow. Although I don't usually use my age to prove a point, I am currently 19 and have seen so many changes in Nashville in my  relatively short lifetime that I can't count them all. I remember in 2009 where there was a economic depression and nothing was getting built in Nashville at all save for the Pinnacle Tower. I remember being a little embarassed to tell my friends and cousins in New York that I lived here because they thought nothing existed here in the 2000s and some even had never heard of Nashville. Now whenever I tell people both in America and England that I grew up in Nashville for most of my life they are really excited and curious to know more about it. In less than a decade that is a huge step in public perception and growth for this city, I can't even imagine what the perception will be like in the future. I initially was worried about the TV show Nashville being cancelled (probably not forever but we will see) because I was afraid that some of the appeal of Nashville would be lost for tourists, but actually I believe that Nashville's growth has actually superseded what the TV show provided initially and now seems to be almost unstoppable. Anyways I look forward to coming back and feeling proud of the city I grew up in again

BTW, if you've not seen the view of the skyline from Donelson Pike right where the street passes in front of the airport and where it goes over I-40, you really should.  It's a quick glimpse but much more noticeable now with all the new buildings than ever before.  Like I said, seeing the transformation of the skyline and other areas during my Thanksgiving trip was just amazing.  I didn't get to do as much driving around as I normally would, but I was able to get in the key spots and few more.
