^^^ Is that year right?   What building is that in the middle that's under construction?  You can tell it's pushing 400' and it looks like it's approximately where Fifth Third is but that building wasn't open till 1986.  If the year is right is that James K. Polk build under construction?

I forget what it’s called but could it be the building with the First Tennessee signage, where they originally planned another tower?

That probably is the James K Polk building. What we are looking at is the tower core (elevator shafts and mechanicals). The floors of offices were added from the top down, and are suspended from the exposed framework atop the building. The TPAC theatres are around the core, underneath the office floors. TPAC opened in 1980.

Such prime real estate in the foreground. Could be a nice setup for luxury condos or hotels....
