Snapped these with my phone as best as I could while keeping my eyes on the road yesterday. This is taken at the 65N/40E junction. Of course, in the pictures I got, a tree managed to block the two tallest buildings in our skyline. Better luck next time!

5&B, Hyatt Regency, Endeavor 1200 Broadway and u/c Nashville Yards, SAP First Avenue Partners, KVB tower, 11th Place, Endeavor Office, Hensler. This does NOT even have Midtown in it! Who knows what the future will bring?

Throwback Thursday….... a card I made based on some internet research by myself.

Apparently, these ships made poor minesweepers and were classified as submarine chasers later. From what I could determine, there were only two made at NBC and none of this class are known to still exist. It must have been some sight to see these floating down the Cumberland River on their way to the sea.

The Parthenon wasn't built to be permanent, it was reconstructed in the 1920s.

The Knights of Pythias Pavilion is also still standing, it's just in Franklin.

I knew the partenon was reconstructed later on, I guess I just had my wording off.
I had no idea the KOP building was in Franklin, is it open to the public?

I'm pretty sure (but not positive) it's a private residence. No advertising signage on 96 or anything, I imagine people have driven by it a hundred times without noticing it. I wouldn't have known it was where it was if not for wandering around on Google Earth one day.

My point about the Parthenon is that I don't suppose there's any reason the buildings couldn't be reconstructed to original specs, either at Centennial Park or elsewhere. They would be just as historic as the Parthenon is, the original in Athens notwithstanding.

Huh, I've driven past that dozens of times and had no idea it was from the Centennial Exposition! Cool!
