This post by @LA_TN lead to the Korean's Veterans Bridge being colored hot pink this coming Saturday (7/14/18) night. More specifically, it lead me down an internet rabbit hole where I researched KVB, the history of the street grid in SoBro on google maps, the awards the KVB won, how many bolts are in it (46k+), and ultimately to a page where the public can request a bridge lighting change. https://www.nashville.gov/Public-Works/Capital-Projects/Gateway-Bridge/Bridge-Lighting-Request.aspx I'm on a team that throws an annual 90's festival at Cumberland Park benefiting local charities and the event is this Saturday. As Cumberland Park is adjacent to KVB, I submitted a request for the bridge to be hot pink and the request was approved. So if you're around Nashville this weekend and see the bridge lit up hot pink... know that UP, and these old post cards, are part of the reason why. Website for the event, if you are curious, is www.supercoolfunfest.com ***I should add the city reserved the right to change the color if something more important came up. 7

Beautiful I haven't walked Lower Broad recently, are they expanding the sidewalks for all of Lower Broad (5th to river)? Are the barriers now permanent as opposed to the temporary barriers that have been there for a couple years?

I believe the plan is to repeat this arrangement from end-to-end, but am confused by how they are doing it only one block at a time.

Even though I haven't been too far, I have been away for too long. Now that my parents have moved from Nashville, I barely have any connections left (a few friends which I don't see of much). Getting older sucks! I can empathize with people who are fighting change! Not really, but I do get the nostalgia for "the good 'ol days." For me, it would be late 80's to the the mid 2000's. Not the same Nashville for sure! It is amazing to see the changes. Would be great to see a shot from the same angle of ~1998/2000, 2006, 2018. Approximately 5-10 year gaps. Biggest changes have been the last 5-10 years!!!!
