I snapped a photo of the skyline flying into the busy Nashville airport yesterday. Somebody should photoshop in possible future additions to the skyline

The only lighting that would improve those hideous poles is extremely bright lighting that faces outward, blinding every driver, pedestrian, and passer-by so that they couldn't see the dingy poles. However, as I've posted before, in an A.M. hangover haze/moment of weakness, I drove up KVB one morning and thought they looked quite nice in front of the Westin, distracting the viewers' eye from the disgusting behemoth behind them.

Yes.  That building that is to the left of the intersection with Portland Ave. that was once the  headquarters for Lays Potato Chips (which started here).  Has had many uses since then, and is currently the home to the campus bookstore.

I thought that building is where that little Asian market is now? Man, some of these old pictures get me twisted off my bearings!

That picture looks like it was taken earlier than the 1940's given the vintage cars on the road.....and maybe even some of the fashion people are wearing.

Trying to place where exactly on 4th that photo was taken.    My guess is somewhere between Church and Union, but so many of those buildings aren't there anymore.
