I forget how many floors the Suntrust is supposed to be. Can someone please tell me how many floors are left to go and also, I was wondering if the floor count for the Encore started now that the tower portion is being built or does the 20 stories include what we already see??

That picture clearly shows that work has begun on the tower part of this project. This thing will rise fast (possibly one floor every week) over the next few months. By summer it could be topped out!

Each slab is going to be in two pours, one every three days. Topping out is set for June.

Surprised no one has mentioned The Park @ Melrose among all the new condo developments. I actually came here to see if anyone had inside info on it since I've reserved a unit there. Construction began last fall and should be completed in November, with some units available this summer (not mine, unfortunately!).

Great photos! It looks like two or three more floors and Adelicia will be topped out! I think I am going to like it more than I thought I would based on the renderings.

Something I found in an old book in the closet I was cleaning out the other day. I had forgotten I had saved it.

The original 3rd National Bank proposal for what is now the Financial Center at 5th and Church. It was to be 38 stories.

For reference, you can see what it looks like now at the Emporis website.

Quite a radical change was made in the ultimate design don't you think?

Thanks for posting. I had no idea about the earlier design concept. Very interesting....indeed! Yes, the change was quite radical from the earlier design.

There is one four story unit on Harrison(that is pictured) and then a corner building that has a bale bond business in it. Then, if you turn the corner back toward DT on 3rd , there is another four story building there(in the foreground). Both of the four story buildings are part of Harrison Phase II. Phase one runs along 4th Ave.
