Project Thread/New Construction/Photo du jour/Const. CAMs

Recommended Posts

I forget how many floors the Suntrust is supposed to be. Can someone please tell me how many floors are left to go and also, I was wondering if the floor count for the Encore started now that the tower portion is being built or does the 20 stories include what we already see??

Suntrust will be 13 floors and they should be finished or near finished with 11. Encore's 20 floors include what has already been built.

Thanks for refreshing my memory.

The Encore

That picture clearly shows that work has begun on the tower part of this project. This thing will rise fast (possibly one floor every week) over the next few months. By summer it could be topped out!

Each slab is going to be in two pours, one every three days. Topping out is set for June.

Surprised no one has mentioned The Park @ Melrose among all the new condo developments. I actually came here to see if anyone had inside info on it since I've reserved a unit there. Construction began last fall and should be completed in November, with some units available this summer (not mine, unfortunately!).

Great photos! It looks like two or three more floors and Adelicia will be topped out! I think I am going to like it more than I thought I would based on the renderings.

Oh, Encore, what a crass and cynical name they have given you.

Hey, they've zoomed out the webcam a little so we can admire the Schermerhorn uninterrupted for hours and hours on end.

Great pics Nashvillewill and Nashvillian.

I with BNA, I really like the contrast and imagery of the Suntrust tower going up next to the Ryman. It really helps pull that block together.

Awesome shots, PH. The Adelicia is starting to look sweet. The best I can tell, they're working on floor 16. If I'm right they have two more to go.

I think you are correct Hank. I counted the other day and thought they were at 16 as well.

Also the crane is down at the Hampton site on 4th.

Something I found in an old book in the closet I was cleaning out the other day. I had forgotten I had saved it.

The original 3rd National Bank proposal for what is now the Financial Center at 5th and Church. It was to be 38 stories.

Gpa001.jpg

For reference, you can see what it looks like now at the Emporis website.

Quite a radical change was made in the ultimate design don't you think?

Thanks for posting. I had no idea about the earlier design concept. Very interesting....indeed! Yes, the change was quite radical from the earlier design.

Just dirt and bulldozers on site yesterday:

Anyone have a status report on this?

Harrison Square:

And this? Can anyone provide any contextual info: how it sits on the lot, etc?

There is one four story unit on Harrison(that is pictured) and then a corner building that has a bale bond business in it. Then, if you turn the corner back toward DT on 3rd , there is another four story building there(in the foreground). Both of the four story buildings are part of Harrison Phase II. Phase one runs along 4th Ave.

There is a sign outside the Amsouth building by the courthouses with a rendering of a new addition. It looks like a vast improvement over how the building looks now.
