Is the arch permanent or something for the NFL Draft?  I don't remember it being discussed.  If permanent can someone provide closer photos of it?

I"m guessing the NFL is paying all those businesses to be closed for a day or two.  Does anyone know how much the NFL spends on this event?

Ugh!!!  I'm detecting trouble for the Nashville brand... very soon.  A demise of its authenticity. 

I just filed to copyright the name "HonkyTonkLand!" So what do you guys think... Big white block letters on the hillside west of the I-440 junction with I-40? Or an arch  over West End where it meets Broad?

I can see that, but at the end of the day, Lower Broadway is a party and Nashville is very good at throwing a big party.. Regardless of what's going on around the city, 1st through 5th on Broadway will always have a bunch of shoes on the sidewalks, asses in seats and fists with beers. I wasn't living here in the 90s before downtown started morphing into what it is today, but even back then it was a party zone, as far as I know.

You can call it whatever you want as long as people keep coming in with full wallets and leaving with empty.

Although as always if you figure out a way to get them to just mail their money here that would be ideal.

From what I have heard alot of the locations are closed to the public throughout many of draft activities (I think ACME is completely closed to the public throughout the weekend). The bars are getting a ridiculous amount of money to host private events and they are getting it while they can. I am sure many bars will have sidewalk bars to sell beer to people, but I am unsure of the open container policy for the lower broad area during this time.

Since it’s Earth Day, here are a few photos to celebrate the abundance of green space in the Nashville Metro area. These images are from my walk yesterday along the Stones River Greenway. This portion of the Greenway runs through what will become Stones River Regional Park. I am so thankful to have this beautiful natural resource so conveniently located near my home.  Final Master Plan linked below.

It’s nice to be reminded how beautiful Tennessee is. I’d take this view over the beach any day. Can’t wait to come home and visit.

A few shots of the Draft setup from the Pedestrian Bridge with a few extras.

Gulch Crossing had their annual required fire drill yesterday as I was looking at the W excavation......we have WALLS going up now down in the pit.  Anyway I found a few views I liked from under the Demonbreum viaduct.  For those who have not been under the bridge, the piers are rather cool.
