Took a walk down broadway yesterday to see the early chaos...

this place was a made house then, can’t even fathom Thursday Friday  

Massive video monitors have been attached to Bridgestone  I believe the cable towers are for “skycam” as well

Not sure it's a bar.    May be a private suite.

They're still letting auto traffic down Lower Broadway with all the set-up in progress?

I can't wait to see how this looks on TV.  I have no idea how much money the CVB is giving to the NFL for the privilege of hosting the draft, but I'm convinced it'll be worth it.  There just aren't many cities in the country that have this kind of entertainment district in the thick of downtown, and right between two major league sports arenas (NFL & NHL).

I hope this will also spur the city/state to widen the sidewalks on Broadway to make it more pedestrian friendly permanently.

It was two-way traffic down to 2nd avenue. I presume it will be closed off tonight at the top of the hill at 8th ave or so.

I went to the zoo today and saw the new Sumatran Tiger exhibit for the first time. It’s done remarkably well-great design, beautifully executed! (The tigers are still getting acclimated to their new home and not as visible as most would prefer. But with some patience I got to see and photograph one of the fellows.) The next project added will feature Komodo Dragons, and will be located adjacent to the new tiger exhibit.

They have 2 female tigers, but only one at a time will be in the exhibit. Tigers are loners, so they cannot both be in the same place at the same time

Love the LED screens featuring all the NFL teams' logos on the pedestrian bridge.  And...how about LoBro with that huge stage and all of the LED screens?  Would almost be cool to have that stage full time with bands playing every night.  Talk about "music" city.

Just watching the Draft on TV last night I had to ask myself why in the world did Nashville move New Year Eve events to Bicentennial Park.  The visuals of the city that ABC, ESPN, and the NFL Network were providing were awesome.  You just can't get that from Bicentennial Park.  Nashville has to learn not to get in its own way at times.  Hopefully there are plenty of lessons being learned from the NFL and others involved in pulling off the Draft.  They will leave behind a footprint for Nashville to follow in years to come when hosting their own events in downtown.

Don’t get me started. They moved the NYE bash because they said security was a concern and they could not handle more than 100k downtown. Yet the crowds have never shown up at Bicentennial Mall and, yet, each year "we expect over 100,000 to come".

Attendance was announced at 159,000 yesterday
