Whatever their other accomplishments (and they are many), the Greatest and Silent generations didn't have much appreciation for this kind of architecture.

This seems to be one of the buildings that was on the site where the Stahlman Building now stands. The Stahlman was built as the Fourth National Bank, so the bank’s growth obviously led to the demolition of the smaller structure to make way for a larger HQ.
