Crane is up for the Bristol project in Brentwood. The apartments are a nice bridge between a large shopping center and the "downtown Brentwood" area. As a side note, the old Murray office building that was purchased by the Hill company and the large Baptist property next door should be a great opportunity for high density in that part of Brentwood.

Thanks for the photos, musiczealot, and welcome to the board! I have to say, looking at MCC from the corner of 8th and Demonbreun to the east really makes me forget this is just a box with a fancy roof. It does a lot for that angle.

This update also tells me where I will and will not be taking pics in the next week. Will be staying a bit more to the periphery for projects like the Homewood suites, E23, and Park25...

Long time reader; first time poster. Obviously, all of the contributors here really know the city inside and out and I've always appreciated the updates and commentary.

With that said, I'm curious about what apartment sites still exist in the urban core that remain undeveloped. Honest and full disclosure: I'm an out-of-state developer looking for premier, institutional quality multifamily development opportunities in the city. The ideal site is 2 acres or more that could accommodate 200+ units that is within walking distance to desirable amenities (nightlife, restaurants, retail, office space, universities, etc). Y'all know the type....basically, what everyone else is looking to find. It's very apparent to me that the folks on this board know the city better than anyone, so any ideas, thoughts or leads would be tremendously appreciated.

Please excuse my ignorance if it is inappropriate to make this type of inquiry. Thanks!

Welcome to the board, MLP09, and you're not being ignorant whatsoever. My first caution to you will be looking for *A* site that will meet the needs you're looking for. Within the urban core, that is, the I-40/24/65 loop closest to downtown, you will be hard-pressed to find sites that are 2 acres. You will most likely have to find 1-2 and maybe even 3 adjacent properties. However, East Side Urbanite, MTSUBlueraider86, and SmeagolsFree, who know the actual property structure better than I, might say differently. There are plenty of un(der)developed properties, but relationally to amenities is the key.

Good luck with your hunt, and if you want, and Ron/John if you want - make this a separate thread for conversation.
