Yes. And in time, it will blend into its surroundings, but it will be 'home' to some folks. It's ordinary and will be covered/surrounded by other buildings. So it's massing is important in that regard.

And compared to its new neighbor, the stucco monolith Haven, Broadstone will look like grand architecture.

Looks like a bridge is under construction at upper left in that photo. The east bank of the river looked much worse back then than it does now, even with the PSC dumpyard.

Did they paint it too? It looks a lot cleaner and whiter than it used to.

It was painted maybe within the last five years, I think. Part of the renovation into a “Grand.”

I know the revolving room opened back up a few years ago, but it no longer revolves and it for private events only.  I asked if it would ever be a restaurant again and they said it depended on being able to get an express elevator for access.  Apparently they stay so busy now they don't have elevator capacity for all the additional traffic going to the top.

Noticed this camping tent on top of the Sheraton this week btw (sorry, not a great picture).     No idea what that’s about except possibly it’s being used by the workers installing the new signage?

That is actually the secret prototype for Cooper's affordable housing plan.

Once every residential building downtown turns into an Airbnb hotel, residents can be moved to rooftop Hoovervilles (or Cooper-villes, if you will).
