I love the driving while taking pictures, my style too sometimes!!

A few things:

Ellingston 23 is HUGE, I thought it was the Omni for a second.

The Omni and CMHOF addition are making, what is that 4th Ave (?), looking like a nice canyon. Curious how it will look with Hyatt Place going up nearby.

In the last shot, the Pinnacle looks tall and slender. "Looks" more like 400-500 ft from that angle.

The first shot, the Omni is freakin' wide! The MCC looks pretty good from there too.

Not too much higher to go! I like this angle as it shows the impact of both the MCC and Omni. I like how the Omni "connects" the Pinnacle and Encore to the rest of the skyline in this view. I know it is partially perspective and partially true, but the MCC looks even bigger from this angle. Like it is as wide as the Sheraton to the AT&T building!

You are correct, but no, it has not started. All I know is that the property has been rezoned but that is all I know. I guess we will have to wait and see. It will be a small project if it is started.

I look for a few surprises over the next several months. I think there will be a host of projects announced in SoBro, not to mention the NW Mutual property in the Gulch. The North Gulch will be where the action is for a while when they announce the project details this coming year, WE HOPE! I dont think we will see any big surprises announced for the South Gulch because their plan seems to be pretty straight forward. I would hope that Gulch Crossings will start next year and maybe the Eakin project. Everything depends on the economy. I do think that the Vision Hotel will start in the next month or so and there may be a little bit happening but the kicker will be an office tower getting out of the ground in the Gulch.

We may have a surprise or two in Midtown since it is hot right now, but alas, I don't see anything happening in the CBD, unless the med mart comes out of critical condition and survives to live on. Market Center Management just does not seem to care what people think and are real tight lipped about the project. WW is very skeptical that anything will come of this project as well as Producer 2.

There is going to have to be movement on the Sounds stadium this year, one way or the other. It has been put off for too long and the current facility is very outdated. I do think we may have some midrise office space starting next year as the Pinnacle and Bell South fill up. All that remains downtown is a lot of b and c space. That could bode well for Palmer or Eakin or Spectrum depending who is the most aggressive and will to offer some discounted rent for a while.

I really hope that ONEC1TY does not go onto the postponed forever list. If they are going to do something then they need to get busy. I think the surprise there will be where HCA decides to build their new office space. That could be a biggy where ever it goes.

Again guys, this is just speculation on my part and at this point in time I have no inside information of any kind.

Boo!!! I do not like the apparent design of the addition to the nursing home. That building had such a nice presence along Wedgewood with the grass and the mature trees. It looks like the trees were cut, and that hip roof looks hideous!
