So glad the batman building is no longer the end of the skyline from this angle...  Can't wait for the Four Season's to be added to the skyline and really hope the River North development will have multiple towers ranging from 10 to 30+ stories.  It would shift the skyline northward in this picture.  Not mention there needs to be something to block Top Golf.  It's not an eyesore, but it's not attractive either.

It serves a good purpose in the industrial sector of town, and all that jazz, but it absolutely is an eyesore IMO

To be fair, I don't like golf, so they do them and it doesn't bother me. I suppose a multi-story driving range is an efficient use of space. It is a pretty neat business model.

It's a fun place, but every other one I have seen is out in the burbs somewhere.  I really am not a fan of where they plopped themselves in Nashville.  It may be industrial wasteland now, but in ten years it probably won't be, and we'll then have a giant driving range in the middle of an urban neighborhood.  Not to mention when driving in from the north at night it's hard to get a good view of the skyline anymore due to the obnoxious spotlights and netting.

All we can hope for now is that River North is developed with skyscrapers that block the view of Top Golf.

Lol. All the more reason why my main sports are basketball and trail running.

All ya need are a court and a pair of shoes.

According to the State Library and Archives, this picture was taken at 16th and West End, so these buildings have been replaced by Downtown Hyundai (formerly Jim Reed Chevrolet) and Broadwest (formerly Lake Palmer). The church is the brand-new sanctuary of West End Methodist, not dedicated until the following year. I don't know anything about the residences in the foreground.

Can you imagine if that were still standing today?  Would be a beloved structure in Nashville.

And you know what's interesting?  130 years later....we're still using basically the same electric poles we used then.
