Although the last few times I was in Nashville I heard about as many people say 'you guys' as much as 'y'all'.

And I'm getting a little bored with the blue glass tint boxes they're putting up....Nashville needs to find some architects with a bit more imagination!

Two things that stand out, or, one that does and one that will. the AB building bridges the gap nicely from this angle "between" SoBro and the CBD. And secondly, Four Seasons is going to do for SoBro what 505 CST did for the CBD as far as height is concerned, and it's going to be spectacular. Minor callout to the Centric peeking up but it's going to be lost from this angle.

Good stuff from dmillsphoto.  And to back him up, I have this picture taken today from Church Street near 7th Avenue that illustrates what 505 has done for the CBD and how Church Street has evolved.

What boxes are you talking about?

I see one box (222) and it looks better than some ugly window frame cladded building. Better glass buildings that look new than concrete buildings that look like something out of the 1920s (i.e. Cincinnati).

Plus what city doesn't have boxes  i.e. (buildings with 4 corners)?

Is it just due to the fact that this is an aerial picture or does the PSC site truly look cleaner now than ever before?  Has the company made any plans for that site public? And where did the rumors that it's for sale come from?

I'd take a Carew Tower (from 1931) over most of the glass stuff today.

That mall generates a ton of sales tax revenue for the city. Way more than a theme park.

^ I'm not a huge mall guy or anything (seeing all that surface parking makes me cry), but in normal times, Oprymills is generally slammed. If Opryland had been a huge moneymaker, then it would still be there.
