Those construction cranes really clutter up the view. Can Cooper do something about that?

I'd take a Carew Tower (from 1931) over most of the glass stuff today.

You would.

But you're not a multi-million or billion dollar company. And what they want is to be in something that doesn't make them feel like they are going to be out of business in the next month. They want new, hip, and desolate free.

Now you can walk in to these developers' offices and tell them you want them to build old time buildings. And then you can observe how fast they call the department of Health and Human Services to haul you in to Central State.

The lack of density in the John Henry Hale homes is frustrating.

Don't have to drive far from downtown to hit the suburbs. ;)

Raising property taxes 32% should help.

I think that was all just rumor and conjecture.  There was never an official proposal and we has only heard the property was for sale.

Probably some wishful thinking by someone.

Ah, so it got stormy there too... I’m in my hometown of Parsons, TN (about 1 1/2 hours southwest of Nashville) right now, and it got serious here.

Sometimes the new glass buildings don't get a lot of love from folks who would like to see more variety in our architecture.

The 505.

And yet there you have 505 sitting in the middle of all of those other "variety" buildings.

Those folks (the meme posters) must be under the influence when they post.

That's more like it!  There's a shot that actually starts to show a true big city skyline.  And to think...almost everything left of Broadway in that photo didn't exist 20 years ago.

For sure!  Check out Drury starting the lineup from the left.
