Still hoping for tower development between Charlotte Pike and Church Street.  It would be nice to see several 15+ story buildings in that area with two to three 25+ story buildings.

There will be some, such as the Avalon and the Gibson towers, but it will be mostly midrise under 10 stories, like the Patterson Street apartments and Giarratana's residential on Elliston. I don't know if the hotel on Louise is still planned. I believe there's also a 7 story medical office building proposed on Hayes by a physician group affiliated with St. Thomas.  I think the biggest impact to be made along Church and the parallel streets is alignment and better sidewalk/shade landscaping.

It's the walkway used to connect people with the Bridge building, Cumberland Park, the greenway, and the elevator/stairs to the Seigenthaler pedestrian bridge. I'm not saying it couldn't be more creative, but it is used extensively. A lot of wedding pictures are taken there (facing the skyline)

Hey guys, keep your eyes open today. More details coming out on two more towers we know about and one of them is a little taller than we thought, but no rendering! Actually make that 3 towers and 2 of them are taller.

Are the towers likely to happen or are they going to meet the usual resistance from the city leaders and complaints?

The stories are out on two of them. The Eden House has already had several meetings and I think it has a good shot now. The Circle South residential will have no problem.

 

The third one coming out later today may meet with resistance….372’ in an area with no towers at that height around it…wonder where it could be???????
