My trip to Dallas/FW, San Antonio, and Houston (Part 1)

Recommended Posts

So anyways, from TN, I continued on into Texas. First stop was Dallas. Actually, we didn't really stop - just drove through. I was looking at some of their buildings and noted how the new Wachovia looks very similar to some of theirs. We sang in Fort Worth and I got some more skyline shots. Then we traveled to San Antonio where we had the Lutheran national youth gathering for 5 days. We passed Austin, but I couldn't get any shots. On our 24 hour straight drive home, we passed by Houston, and I got some good skyline shots there as well.

I really enjoyed San Antonio. The riverwalk was awesome, and they had a nice downtown mall (Rivercenter Mall) with a nice variety of shops and a Dillard's and a Foley's. They also had the Tower of the Americas observation deck and we were in the Alamodome for the gathering, which was decent but not overly impressive. I also loved the preservation of history with the Alamo. Great trip, and I hope you all enjoy.
