All-Star Game may embarrass Detroit

Appearance upgrades will not be ready for '05 baseball extravaganza

I just hope the city doesn't panic and start tearing down buildings left and right. I don't see what's so bad about seeing all the construction going on for the Super Bowl (and beyond). I'm sure downtown will look a lot better than it does right now.

Even before I got into skyscrapers and urban development, seeing a lot of construction in a city always impressed me.

Yeah, I don't want Detroit to go demo crazy. They still want the M-L & the Slater to come down. When will they ever figure out that Detroit's historic buildings are its biggest asset?
