or did someone with that car description take it from their windshield and put it on your car in hopes that you would pay it?

I thought about that, I was on washington st. visting my friend at Lupo's and I was in and out in 10 minutes, it just seems to close to my car and to quick of time... or else that person was almost lucky. :silly:

Any idea if the same goes for the metered spots on Francis across from the train station? I only see a car here and there that has paid on the weekends.

I was theorizing that the city doesn't want to deter people from coming downtown on the weekends, so they don't bother ticketing.

I think it has less to do with a policy of encouraging people to come downtown and more to do with the fact that ticketing on the weekend would be less cost effective because 1) the parking enforcement folks would be making time and a half and 2) there are far fewer cars in downtown on the weekend (with the exception of the evenings of waterfire, Civic Center events).

Also if you are from out of state, the likely hood of paying the ticket is slim to none, and I also figure you have more out of staters coming on the weekends; ie the mall & civic center

Has anyone been able to find the Draft Comp. Plan on the Providence Tomorrow website? I was forwarded an e-mail saying there was a link on the webpage, but much digging yielded nothing.

Is anyone planning (pardon the pun) on going to the City Plan Commission meeting tonight? they are discussing the draft, but the agenda says that the public won't be allowed to comment.

It took me all day to read and comment.

Whew! I wasn't sure where I was going to carve out the time in the next 72 hours to go through everything comprehensively.

As for the 11th and 12th, they're already on my calendar...
