The Sidetrack Brewpub intends to open on March 3, 2007.

One of the reasons the Southend closed may have been that they didn't really brew on the premises. Their beer was brewed in Charlotte and trucked here. Soon after opening they must have discovered their brewing equipment was more than twice the capacity to fill the needs of their patrons. The brewmaster probably sat around twidling his thumbs until they asked him to fill in washing dishes. If you have huge tanks of beer sitting around, it loses freshness.

Whatever they end up putting in the old Southend could only be an improvement, in my opinion. Good luck to them!

As far as sidetrack...march?? I wonder why so slow?

I heard Prime Only was pretty good eats. I'm looking forward to trying it.
