DGI plans local and statewide ads for downtown Greensboro

Downtown Greensboro Incorporated wants to let the whole state know whats going on in downtown Greensboro. The ad campaign will start out locally with mailers, billboards, radio and tv spots then it will eventully go statewide. That means if you live in Wilmington, you might see an ad about downtown Greensboro on TV. I think this is a great tool for not only attracting people from around the state to Greensboro but it attracts the attention of developers around the state who then might want to make major investments in downtown Greensboro. No other city in NC is doing statewide ads for their downtown so it will be interestting to see how this affects the progress of downtown.
