What's this puhh-lease crap about being bisexual? It's not uncommon, and not bullsh!t. Nobody is really 100% gay or 100% straight, it's more of a continuum. People are attracted to whatever their brain says they are, and sometimes that might be a man, woman, donkey, whatever.

I happen to be bi myself:)

The reason I say PUH-LEEZE when Elton John and Boy George claimed to be bi, is because it was clearly a "softer landing" for the public to hear, rather than hearing they're gay right off the bat. All public relations.

Elton John and Boy George are GAY!

If this is true then it is more distasteful. Ken Melhman, the current chairman of the Republican National Party, an unmarried 37 year old man, was "outed" on Larry King live this past week. This is relevant because of the number of very negative adverts run by the GOP during the election to appeal to christian conservatives and of course their push to put Gay Marriage amendments on a number of state ballots.

Not surprisingly, CNN has now censored this conversation. I saw the original so I know it happened and its disappointing the "most trusted name in news" would change the news to suit their purposes. You can read about it at this link

Melhman is going to step down as the chairman of the GOP in January. I hope he gets some help to resolve his issues if this is true.

The acceptance towards homosexuality grows with every poll taken year to year. Gays still have a long way to go though. We are still "weird and immoral" to enough people in this country to ensure continual Republican victories. I am still waiting for an A List star to come out. The reaction then will be more telling.

Now don't get me wrong, I still think Gays are discriminated against heavily in the US, and that the GOP is pretty much blatantly raceist (gay-ist?) in their stances, but I m getting tired of people trying to "out" their political opponents. Anyone who is gay knows how hard it is to come out, and how easy it is to be trapped in that kind of situation. Aren't we being rather hypocritical if all we do is try to out opponents to try to cut them down?

I would agree with you if the Republicans didn't use gay issues for votes. The pandering and hypocricy are the reasons it is important to "out" these people. If they have to hide who they are to "win" votes from people who otherwise would have a different view of the source, then they are doing a disservice to those voters -- they are being far less than honest. I don't care whatsoever if Ken Melman is gay and support his right to keep his private life private, but if he is running campaigns against gays, out the beotch as soon as possible.

Every time I hear of another celebrity coming out, I can help but shout on the rooftop WHEN IS TRAVOLTA EVER GONNA COME OUT????????

How many guys does he have to hit on at his gym?....how many male waiters and bartenders does he have to blatantly flirt with in public?....how many hunky porno stars have to come forth as an ex of Travolta's?....how many boyfriends does he have to kiss while having his pic taken?

C'MON IN JOHN! The water's fine. You're already making $20 million for each film you make. What do you have to lose!!!!!!!

It was in entertainment news today that Lance Bass has called it quits with his boyfriend, Reichen Lehmkuhl.

It was noted that the couple had been appearing prominently in public many times, for benefits, high-profile events, etc. So far the media is presenting this just as they would present a famous hetero couple's break up. Hopefully that shows our society is gradually inching toward considering gay folks to be just like anyone else.
