Parisian sold to Belk

Just in... SAKS Inc has sold it's Parisian division to Belk. Any thoughts on how this might affect nashville (other than the Parisian in CS)? I always kinda figured that Parisian would be our one lone department store for Downtown Nashville. Belk doesn't do downtown stores (or hasn't tried to at least). Are we coming to the point of having no choices available for a downtown department store?

^You could color me shocked if we EVER get a downtown department store again in Nashville. I think it's considered too much of a risky investment. I still miss the old ones... especially Harvey's on Church.

I would agree with you fieldmarshaldj. The old ones were good but those days are long gone.
