First Biodiesal Plant to be built in state?

Looks like the state's first biodiesal facility could be built in either Bangon Twnshp or Bay City.

Either way, Im glad to see the state trying to be on the forefront of new energy production.

We're already out of the gates too late. Michigan should have been one of the first to do this, and we're playing catchup. We're far from the forefront on this. Good news, but disappointing considereing how innovative this state used to be.

There's also plans for a future biodiesel plant in Saginaw behind the old railway station. Not sure when that will come about in the future.

hmm, sounds cool. if they put it in Bay City, would they want to put it on the river so a fleet of fuel tanker ships could transport it throughout the country, or would it be more of a regional facility, only making it for mid michigan?

you're right on that and i stand corrected, i didn't realize how far behind we were as a state.

This map shows the existing 65 plants that are operating in the US and not a single one in Michigan.
