We would probably all agree that vabid overt homophobia isn't an everyday thing in Southern metropolises.

Excluding Atlanta, Chapel Hill, Asheville, Miami, Austin and a few other large Southern cities of course, do you feel homophobia is as bad as ever, improved, or gotten worse in small Southern towns and suburbs?

Like what would the typical attitude toward gays be like in Monroe, N.C. or Marietta, Ga. for instance?
