Bill Proctor is a DISGRACE

What do you mean in the reference to "caved on Southwood". Was Proctor against that development?

Does the position of chairman carry with it any specific authority that is greater than that of the other commissioners? Other than, possibly, some rules of order at the meetings?

Nope, they basically just run the meetings, set agendas, etc (in most counties, I would assume Leon as well).

Sorry....brain is overloaded. I ment when he caved on Fallschase.

And they rewarded him for that vote w/lots of Money. Fallschase and it's agents/subsidies/affiliates gave Proctor $500 (the max.) donations 10 different times. Each gift has a different contributor name, but the address is always the same: 4475 Buck Lake Road. AIG w/a B'ham address also gave him $500. So Proctor's campaign gained at least $5,500 for that vote.

Interesting Premier Builders and their affiliates (all have the address 2811 Suite E Industrial Plaza Dr.) gave him $500 donations at least 12 times for a total of $6000. Don't look for him to vote against any of their projects if he wins again.

Premier and Fallschase are Proctor's two biggest contributors to his campaign from what I can tell. He may say he's for the "the little voiceless guy" at the public meetings, but behind closed doors, the "big guy" is buying him.

K2 gave him $500.

Interesting stuff. Proctor is the only one I've really looked at in detail. I'm sure we could find out who else owes favors by looking closer at other's contributors.

All this can be found in the link I provided in the City/County Consolidation thread and is all a matter of public record.

Dee Crumpler is on the school board and is a MAN. Or is that an inside joke of yours that "whooished" right by me? If we elect Jackie as Super. then we'll have a Dee and Jackie on the School board and neither will be female. Ah diversity.

:lol::rofl: You wild. I've campaigned for Jackie Pons and the man has good ideas, real easy to talk to and is well aware of what's going on with the Southside schools. I was glad he beat out Iris Wilson because she was the main one who fought to keep a certain principal at Nims, even when the school hasn't made AYP 3 years straight. As far as Proctor is concerned, he has done a lot for this community but at the same time, all that good he did went up in smoke by his juvenile antics.

From the Democrat today:

Proctor endorses Rackleff rival

Leon County Commission Chairman Bill Proctor is asking people to vote for the man who's running against one of his colleagues, Commissioner Bob Rackleff.

"District 5 voters have an exciting opportunity to choose a young man, shaped in a progressive era that embraces modern ideas about the gifts and talents of women and blacks," Proctor wrote in his endorsement letter of Frank Mayernick. "I encourage voters in District 5 to support a man of substance and character."

Rackleff wasn't bothered by the endorsement.

"If I were Frank Mayernick, I would keep that very quiet," he said.

As you know, I'm not voting for Rackleff, but I must ask "Is this appropriate?" I know it's legal, but if Rackleff wins which he probably will, I ask how can doing something like this help better our community? How can it better communications and harmony on our County Commission? How can it help us progress and move forward? Have you seen any County Commission meetings lately? The Proctor/Rackleff hatred is getting out of control. Soon I believe it may come to a fist fight. Of course if they do, I'm sure it will end w/Rackleff's earring getting stuck in Proctor's 'fro and they'll have to be escorted to TMH to untangle themselves.

But seriously, I think this a disservice to all of us in Leon County. Your thoughts?

I'm too amused by the "OH NOES! Someone mentioned PMS! RUN before the womans get here!" response from you guys to be offended.

Of course even at our worse, no female would act like these two "community leaders". The usual female pms tactic is a lot more mature and that is saying something :P . You would think these guys would know better. I know most politians like to sling mud but dragging other people into it seems unprofessional.

Edited to add: Yes I can't spell. XD
