Salt Lake Tribune Building?

Anyone know anything about the fate of the old Salt Lake Tribune Building at 143 South Main? Now that operations have moved over to the Gateway, that building's gotta be pretty empty...I know at one point they were looking at tearing it down completely. I worked in that place for 7 years and have a fondness for the place, but it's pretty darn beat up. Anyone hear anything about it? It's the middle of a chunk of vacant (or nearly vacant) buildings that could go down and be replaced with a new tower....just wondering if I'd missed something somewhere.

I havent heard anything about this building. I do know that they would face a hard time tearing the building down due to the fact that I beleive it is on the historical register now.

That designation didn't help the Hotel Newhouse. I would be wary of the city's intentions.
