There is also 1 or 2 coming to 6th street in Fayetteville. I think one is called a Value Place inn or something like that.

Hey I think that's the one that was mentioned in that Arkansas Business article talking about the W aloft. I think one of those is going to Springdale as well.

Dallas is just now getting a "W".

Still, Westin and "Aloft" will be nice.

Yeah I don't think we'll have to worry about a W here anytime in the near future. But as you said a Westin and a W aloft is still pretty good. Since I'm not real big on hotel info how does a Renaissance compare to those? Just curious if Fayetteville will have anything comparable to some of these Rogers hotels. I suppose the Divinity will be a nice boutique hotel.

The "W" Aloft brand will be nice as well. I've never seen anything about this, but "W" has built a reputation and I'm sure they'll uphold that. I know a typical "W" is more funky, so a business line seems to be a different approach for the company, but given the name I'm sure the amenities will be nice.

The pictures I posted in the "W" ALOFT Thread feel like something out of New York City. It looks very modern with an urban feel. Should be very interesting.

Another interesting note, the Westin has shown only three locations for future development: Singapore, Bangkok, and Rogers.

Mith, Renaissance Hotels are pretty nice. The one in Tulsa has a AAA 4 Diamond award.

I thought Renaissance hotels were supposed to be pretty nice but to be honest I wasn't sure. Just nice to see Fayetteville isn't getting left out.

Renaissance hotels are very nice, one helped in the redevelopment of Oklahoma City's bricktown area (kind of like a larger Dickson street). Now there are 3 or 4 other hotels in this same area and all are either just completed or under construction.

Another hotel I forgot to mention in Fayetteville is going in on 15th street. I believe it is going to be a 4 story Staybridge suites. It will be near Baum stadium. Also over the next year or two there are going to be quite a few more hotels announced in Fayetteville. Southpass, Mountain Ranch, and the technology park are all going to have hotels mixed in.

Really, don't think I heard about one at the Arkansas Research and Technology Park, interesting.

I think it was supposed to be nearby it, maybe not in it. Or it could have been the Staybridge suites that is being built near Baum stadium. I guess time will tell.

I don't know if I consider Baum that close to the park. Anyway we'll find out eventually. :D

OK, either I am missing something here or there is some miscommunication here about one of the hotels (which seems to have started in another thread months ago).

Fayetteville is getting a Marriot which will be in a building currently named the Renaissance building. It has no affiliation with a chain named Renaissance what so ever.
