What is the ho hum threshold?

For me there really is not one, but others may disagree.  At the very least, it would be good to be able to recognize it if I see it announced.  So, I guess if it doesn't make news, it's "ho hum."   Do you think it will pass this "threshold?"

Wow...seems really random that Richmond would sneak in on that list., but okay, I’ll take it!

Haven’t seen it mention s here yet, but I think it is significant that Car Max is leasing more space downtown. They already have folks working at the lady bird hat factory building. Now they are about to lease more space (14,000 sq ft) at the Canal Crossing building.  Seems that Car Max is beefing up its presence downtown. I don’t think the HQ would move there anytime soon, but I might be able to imagine a significant workforce presence downtown.  I like to see our suburban companies have a presence downtown at the very least, but the holy grail would be to get them to move their HQ downtown.  Maybe one day when the city can get it’s act together...or if downtown just ends up being THE place to be in the metro area. Hoping for either!

Henrico County to become a major internet hub. If anyone knows more about this and the implications for Richmond I would be interested: https://www.henricocitizen.com/articles/henrico-poised-to-become-global-internet-hub/

I wonder if this could turn the Richmond area into the next Silicon Valley or the next huge tech hub of the country (Austin, TX)?  They are certainly talking like it could!  This could be a boon for Henrico and Richmond as a whole since there will likely be businesses that come here to support the tech industry.  I hope it means that tech companies will relocate here and boost the population.  This could be HUGE!  We’ll see what happens.  More data centers are coming for sure though!

My heart fluttered a bit when it mentioned that this is analogous to RIC becoming a hub for American Airlines!  Well, it just might if the businesses come and the people come with them!  To me, this could be a little foreshadowing if everything happens like they say it will. This will be fun to watch!
