Chesaning

After going from Clio directly west into Montrose I kept going and came to Chesaning. Unlike the other towns I went too, Chesaning is in Saginaw County. My grandparents were telling me about this thing they go to in Chesaning every year. A boat will come down the river with people singing on it and such. I guess a lot of people go to it.

Nice pictures! It's a shame you didn't drive thorugh at night. The downtown looks really cool with all those lights on. This is where our County Fair is held now. Unfortunately, the once beautiful fairgrounds on Saginaw's southside is crumbling to pieces.

Chesaning is suffering from the economic downturn of the region. Quite a few businesses have gone under downtown in recent years. Alot of the antique shops and tourist type businesses that flouished in Chesaning can't seem to stay afloat, And that's pretty sad it's a nice area.
